This is a large three-naved affair from the 13th century. The remaining masses of stonework show the four columns that were the base of the support for the dome. This appears to be another casualty of Greek-Turkish hostility during the 1920s although the church was probably in dilapidated condition prior to any deliberate destruction.

The site is protected with some formidable razor wire, probably necessary considering the friendliness of the guard dogs. I don’t know whether there is an official plan for this church but for now it remains inaccessible.

Enough detail remains in the brickwork to allow reasonable guesses about the structure of the church [2]
